Home Learning Coordinator

Full-Time No working from home possible
B

Job description

Permanent, Full Time 37 hours per week.

We continue to develop our Best Start Family Hubs across Bristol, and with that comes an exciting opportunity to shape something new.

We have created a small number of Home Learning Environment (HLE) Co-ordinator roles, and are recruiting to a role working in East/Central localities, to help strengthen how we support children's learning at home from the earliest years. This is a new and developing role. We're looking for people who want to help build it - bringing ideas, creativity and a strong sense of what works for children and families.

This role sits within our Family Hubs and Early Help service and focuses on improving children's outcomes through strong home learning environments. You will take a lead in coordinating, delivering and developing evidence-based support for parents and carers, helping them to build children's early language, confidence, relationships and readiness for school.

Working across your locality, you'll bring together Family Hub teams, early years providers and partners to strengthen a joined-up approach to early learning and family support. You'll be working directly with families, but also influencing the wider system, helping ensure that support is accessible, consistent and impactful across the city. We're looking for someone with experience of working with children and families, who understands how early learning happens, not just in settings, but in everyday family life. You'll bring experience of delivering evidenced based programmes, a strong knowledge of child development and an ability to build relationships with families, especially for those who may find it harder to access support.

You’ll also be someone who is comfortable working flexibly, using initiative, and contributing to shaping a service as it develops.

If you are passionate about supporting improving outcomes for children and in early intervention and prevention, we’d love to hear from you.

Please note that this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
