Reporting to the Executive Director of Housing, you will be a key member of the newly formed directorate leadership team. In this senior strategic leadership role you will provide housing strategy and assurance to ensure the delivery of safe, compliant, high‑quality, and financially sustainable housing services across Bristol’s portfolio of over 27,000 homes.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic asset management and HRA investment planning, ensuring long‑term plans address safety, decarbonisation, affordability and future demand.
- Oversee landlord compliance and HRA building safety obligations.
- Drive Consumer Standards readiness and quality assurance across the portfolio.
- Monitor Decent Homes and wider housing standards with rigour and transparency.
- Develop data maturity through improvement of systems and performance insight.
- Build and nurture effective relationships with the Housing Regulator and other external partners to support continuous improvement and compliance.
- Champion resident voice, transparency and learning to strengthen trust and outcomes across Bristol’s housing services.
Qualifications
- Senior experience shaping housing strategy and providing evidence‑based assurance.
- Excellent partnership and stakeholder development skills, adept at working closely with the Housing Regulator, Members and senior stakeholders.
- Ability to translate evolving regulatory and statutory requirements into practical, measurable delivery plans.
