An exciting opportunity has come about for the role of Deputy Service Manager – Improvement within the Policy, Improvement and Partnerships Team.

We are looking to recruit a dynamic and organised leader who can support the Improvement Service Manager in delivering high quality children, adult and education services for the people of Bristol. You will be leading a team that puts people at its heart, delivering focused interventions to improve services in line with regulatory frameworks and promoting positive outcomes for people using them.

You will ensure that the council is prepared for regulatory inspection of services for children and adults and lead arrangements for key inspections and peer reviews. As part of this you will act as key liaison point with our regulators.

Working at the centre of Children, Education and Adult Social Care Directorates, and alongside cross-council teams, you will be responsible for leading continuous improvement arrangements and for developing key improvement plans to improve outcomes for people that use our services.

We are seeking someone with excellent organisational, project planning, and analytical skills. You will be skilled at working and communicating with different audiences. This is an exciting and varied role for someone with experience of improving children\’s or adult services, who wants to develop their leaderships skills and experience across a varied and interesting remit.
