Overview
Full Time, Fixed Term until March 2027. The Skills Connect service is seeking a Career Coach who will be responsible for working with individuals, helping them achieve their full potential by assisting participants into a new career, training or education.
Responsibilities
- Support your participants to create a career action plan
- Explore career progression opportunities with your participants
- Help with employability tools and skills such as CVs, personal statements, applications and interview techniques
- Help to build confidence and motivation of your participants
- Provide information and advice on other services
- Signpost to specialist support including training, money, benefits, counselling and self-employed business support

Secondment / contractual details
For permanent Bristol City Council employees, this post will be a secondment. For employees who are currently on a fixed-term contract with Bristol City Council, the secondment must not extend beyond the end of the fixed term period to ensure there is a substantive post to return to. If you are currently a casual worker or a member of an employment agency (currently working with Bristol City Council), this post will be a fixed term contract.
