Responsibilities:

  • Work with and support disabled children and their families across Bristol.
  • Advocate for and improve outcomes for disabled children as an experienced Social Worker who has completed the ASYE.
  • Engage in statutory duties under relevant legislation for children & families in need.
  • Collaborate with connected persons and carers to deliver specialist evidence‑based interventions.
  • Develop specialisms in practice and build understanding of complex and specialist social work areas.
  • Maintain professional standards and current knowledge of relevant legislation, regulation and practice methods.
  • Participate in continuous training, resource development, supervision/support of social work students and apprentices.
  • Engage in service development projects/research.
  • Build improved service partnerships with other relevant agencies.

Qualifications:

  • Experienced Social Worker with completed ASYE.
  • Knowledge of statutory duties and legislation relevant to children, families and disability.
  • Strong evidence‑based practice skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and development.

Additional Requirements:

  • Role subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
