The position is Full Time, Permanent within Bristol City Council's Reablement Service. The Senior Reablement Support Assistant (SRSA) leads a small team of reablement support assistants to help people improve confidence and independence after hospital discharge or a fall.
Responsibilities
- Supervise reablement support assistants and manage the care element of the service user’s time with the service.
- Provide and coordinate person‑centred support, conduct assessments and set/review recovery goals in the user’s home.
- Work independently, responding flexibly to changing needs and maintaining accurate data entry.
- Lead up to 42 days of reablement to maximise the user’s confidence and independence.
Qualifications & Requirements
- NVQ/QCF level 3 or equivalent, or willingness to undertake training while in the role.
- Experience providing care to vulnerable adults in the community.
- Effective communication skills and ability to supervise and motivate staff.
- Proficiency in data entry and the use of relevant technology.
- Valid driving licence, access to a motorised vehicle and willingness to obtain relevant vehicle business insurance.
- Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS Check.
- Not eligible for sponsorship.
