We are looking for a Senior Early Years Consultant to join our dynamic Early Years Quality Improvement Team, a leadership role that genuinely makes a difference for children, families, and early years professionals across Bristol.
Your work will contribute to the national agenda on education reform set out in "Every Child Achieving and Thriving" and Bristol City Council's Children and Education plan, focusing on better educational outcomes for disadvantaged children.
As a Senior Early Years Consultant, you will play a key role in ensuring children achieve highly at the end of the Early Years Foundation Stage, closing attainment gaps, and supporting settings and schools to deliver the best early education and care.
We are looking for an experienced, reflective, and enthusiastic early years professional with deep knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage, quality improvement, and effective pedagogy. You will be a confident senior leader responsible for leading and line‑managing our Early Years Consultants Team.
You must hold up‑to‑date knowledge of local and national policy and practice, inspire practitioners, hold high expectations, and possess excellent communication skills. You should be skilled at building positive partnerships, navigating a wide range of early years environments, and be motivated by improving outcomes for all children.
This role offers variety, influence, creativity, and the chance to shape quality improvement across our sector, ensuring every child can enjoy, achieve, and thrive.
