Part Time – 30hrs per week, Permanent. We have an exciting 30 hour position joining our well established residential team working in a rewarding role supporting children and young people with disabilities who attend for Short Breaks. We are aiming to diversify our staff team to reflect our heavily male children's group, requiring a member of staff who can manage under pressure the challenges that present when supporting our most complex children in the city.

The role of a residential worker is to ensure the delivery of a high-quality residential service for disabled children within the overall policy of the Department (as defined by the National Care Standards Commission - minimum standards for Children’s Homes). The home aims to do this by creating a warm, fun, caring home environment, ensuring children’s voices, opinions and feelings are heard and advocating for the children we care for. The home provides care for up to 3 children at a time with varied needs. This group changes on a nightly basis. Each child is supported as an individual. Their needs and strengths are considered by the staff team who tailor their support and care to each child.

Shift requirements: The position requires the ability to work shifts, including being on shift on weekends (fortnightly), and evening working.

Location: The home is located in Hengrove.

Background check: This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
