Contractual hours: 37 per week | Basis: Full time | Job category/type: Parks and Gardens Permanent full‑time 37 hours per week (includes some weekends). Fixed term for 6 months, full time. Some weekends on rota (average two weekends per month).
Responsibilities:- Litter picking and bin emptying.
- Clearing fly‑tip from parks and green spaces.
- Occasional assistance with grass cutting and shrub maintenance using hand‑held machinery.
- Full driving licence for use in the UK and ability to drive a wide range of vehicles.
- Ability to carry out the physical demands of the role, working outdoors and at weekends.
- Knowledge of health and safety in the workplace.
- Training and support for progression into Gardener and Chargehand positions as opportunities arise.
- Secondment arrangements are available for permanent council employees.
- Fixed‑term contracts for those currently on a fixed‑term contract or casual workers.
