Library Assistant (Fishponds, St George and Hillfields Libraries)

  • 12.5 hours per week – usual pattern: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday lunchtime. Fixed term 18 months.
  • 9.5 hours per week – usual pattern: Tuesday and Wednesday lunchtime, Saturday afternoon. Fixed term until 14/02/2027.

Are you committed to the ethos of public libraries and encouraging people to get the maximum benefit from our library service and facilities? If so, we need customer‑focused people to help run and develop a high‑quality service at various Bristol libraries. Availability for all specified sessions is required and the role is not suitable for home or hybrid working – you must be physically present in the libraries.

Manual handling, display screen equipment training and other required training will be given to ensure tasks are carried out safely. Applicants must have a Standard DBS Check. Qualifications and skills are set out in the attached Person Specification. Applicants should demonstrate how they meet the essential criteria.
