We are looking for individuals to join our Community Learning (CL) team as Casual Learning Support Assistants.
In this role, you will support adult learners from a range of backgrounds, including those new to learning, returning to education, or facing barriers, to build confidence, develop skills, and progress towards their goals.
You will provide responsive support and adapt your approach to meet a variety of learner needs.
- What You’ll Do
- Support individual learners and small groups in English, maths, digital skills and other subjects.
- Help learners plan and reflect on their learning journey using ILPs (Individual Learning Plans).
- Build supportive, respectful relationships that enable learners to feel safe, motivated and valued.
- Assist with assessments, record keeping, and encouraging participation whilst helping learners stay on track and reach their potential.
- Signpost learners to opportunities for further learning, work, volunteering or wellbeing support.

You don’t need to have worked in a school or classroom.
We’re looking for people who can connect, support, and uplift others.
Whilst this is a casual contract, we are looking for candidates with availability across the week (Monday-Friday) and who are happy to travel across the Bristol area.
You’ll Need
- Strong communication skills in spoken and written English.
- A warm, flexible and encouraging approach to working with adults.
- Awareness of safeguarding, equality and health & safety or a willingness to complete training in these areas.
- GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above, or working towards this.
- A genuine interest in inclusive education and supporting diverse communities.
- Experience working with digital platforms (like Microsoft 365) and online apps and platforms.
