About the Role
You will join a small, collaborative Insight & Improvement team supporting some of the most important transformation and improvement programmes across Children and Education. Working across areas such as Stable Homes, Families First Partnership and Family Hubs, you will develop analysis, reporting and performance insight that helps services improve outcomes for children, young people and families. This varied role combines analytical expertise with improvement activity. You will work directly with programme managers, service managers and operational teams to develop dashboards, monitor performance, identify trends and support evidence‑based decision making. You will have the opportunity to influence service improvement, support major change programmes and see your work directly inform strategic and operational decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with services to understand reporting needs and develop data and insight products
- Analyse data to identify patterns, trends and performance information
- Produce dashboards, reports and visualisations to support decision-making
- Contribute to statutory and non‑statutory data returns to external agencies
- Support improvement and transformation programmes with insight and analysis
- Work as part of project teams, contributing to delivery plans and timelines
- Identify and raise data quality issues and support improvements
- Ensure data is handled in line with information governance requirements
- Develop and maintain dashboards, performance indicators and benefits‑monitoring products
- Support programme governance through the production of performance reporting and management information
- Work with programme teams and services to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement
What We’re Looking For
- Degree‑level qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent experience in data or insight work
- Experience working with services to understand processes and develop reporting requirements
- Experience of data analysis, reporting or business intelligence tools
- Ability to analyse information and present findings clearly
- Experience managing and prioritising work to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of data protection and information governance (including GDPR)
- Ability to work with others to improve data quality and processes
- Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in a work context

- Key stakeholders include Programme Managers, Project Managers, Service Managers, Heads of Service, Finance colleagues, Data & Insight colleagues, Policy and Strategy colleagues and operational teams across Children and Education
