Overview: We are creating a small number of Home Learning Environment (HLE) Co‑ordinator roles, working across the city (North, South, and East/Central localities), to help strengthen how we support children’s learning at home from the earliest years. This is a new and developing role. We’re looking for people who want to help build it – bringing ideas, creativity and a strong sense of what works for children and families.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, deliver and develop evidence-based support for parents and carers to build children’s early language, confidence, relationships and readiness for school.
- Bring together Family Hub teams, early years providers and partners to strengthen a joined‑up approach to early learning and family support across your locality.
- Work directly with families and influence the wider system to ensure support is accessible, consistent and impactful across the city.
- Deliver evidence-based programmes, build strong relationships with families, especially those who may find it harder to access support.
- Work flexibly, use initiative and contribute to shaping a service as it develops.
Qualifications:
- Experience of working with children and families, understanding how early learning happens in settings and everyday family life.
- Strong knowledge of child development and the ability to build relationships with families.
- Experience of delivering evidence-based programmes.
Additional Requirements: Enhanced DBS Check required.
