An exciting opportunity to join the management team of Briarwood School as a Head of School for Secondary. Briarwood School is based on 4 sites in East Central and South Bristol, with an additional alternative education provision on the Secondary site. Briarwood takes pupils from 3 to 19 years, with SLD, ASD with behaviours that challenge, PMLD and Complex Medical Needs.

The main purpose of the role is to ensure that the educational, personal and social needs of learners are met within the school the Post-Holder is responsible for. As a Head of School you will have significant experience of working with young people with SEND. You will have a good understanding and up to date knowledge of outstanding practice and research.

As a Head of School, you will work with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure the progress and achievement of pupils in your school, manage the infrastructure, environment and resources of Briarwood School. The post is full time, 5 days a week, terms and conditions are reflected in Standard Teachers Pay & Conditions 2025.
