Overview

Full Time, Permanent. We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and motivated End User Compute Engineer to join our supportive IT Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high‑quality IT support across a diverse organisation, helping colleagues stay connected through reliable and effective technology.

Role

As an End User Compute Engineer, you will investigate and resolve IT issues, supporting a wide range of systems, devices and users. You’ll work closely with Housing teams including trade operatives and engineers, supporting a variety of end‑user and handheld technologies used in operational and field‑based environments. You’ll manage incidents and service requests, ensuring they are handled efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service. You’ll support and maintain end‑user technologies including desktops, laptops, mobile devices and Microsoft services, while contributing to system improvements and service enhancements. Working closely with colleagues, you’ll share knowledge and help drive continuous improvement across the service. This role will be primarily office based at Sandy Park to support the operational teams. Some hybrid working will be possible.

Qualifications & Skills

You will have experience working in a fast-paced, customer-focused IT environment, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose technical issues effectively. You’ll bring hands‑on experience of supporting technologies such as Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, end‑user devices and basic networking. Strong communication skills are key, along with the ability to prioritise your workload, work independently and contribute positively as part of a team. A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies is essential.
