Role Summary

Full Time, Permanent.

The home is located in Lawrence Weston.

This is a Deputy Manager position at Belbrook – a short breaks children’s home for disabled children.

The Deputy Manager deputises for the Registered Manager, taking full responsibility for managing the home within current legislation and the National Care Standards Commission minimum standards for Children’s Homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a residential care team, ensuring high quality care for up to 5 children with varied needs.
  • Create a warm, fun, caring environment, ensuring children’s voices, opinions and feelings are heard and advocated for.
  • Work within a multi‑disciplinary service alongside social workers, Occupational Therapists, educators, parents and carers to deliver the best service for children.
  • Develop managerial skills and build relationships with vulnerable young people/children.
  • Key Requirements
  • Passion for supporting children with complex needs and strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to work shifts, including weekend shifts fortnightly, sleep‑ins and evening working.
  • Subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
