Responsibilities

You will act as a dedicated expert on a portfolio of contracts within the Housing Repairs & Maintenance Service, ensuring high quality and efficient delivery in line with contractual commitments and working with operational teams to develop business cases and specifications for upcoming contracts.

Contract Portfolio:

  • Material Supply (Gas, Plumbing, Electrical, General Building Materials and Tool Hire)
  • Asbestos Surveying and Consultancy
  • Waste Management Services
  • Responsive Repair related works including:
  • Multi-trade Responsive Repairs
  • Void Refurbishment
  • Drainage and Cold‑Water Works
  • Roofing Repairs
  • Scaffolding
  • Flooring Works
  • Disrepair Claim related repairs
  • Damp & Mould related works and services
  • Consultancy Services including Party Wall and Expert Witness consultancy
  • Qualifications

    We need someone with excellent understanding of the principles of contract and performance management and ability to apply these practically within the Housing & Landlord Service. You will need knowledge and experience of applying contract law within a diverse/complex organisation, and experience of developing and sustaining effective professional working relationships with partners, stakeholders and suppliers. A proven ability to lead and manage people and budgets is required. Knowledge of Procurement Regulations is essential; a relevant qualification would be advantageous.
