What will I be doing?
As part of an experienced and well‑established team you will be responsible for the risk management of Bristol City Council’s tree population within parks, open spaces and highways.
You will provide expert and specialist arboricultural services, including providing advice to other Council departments and external partners, ensuring technical information is accessible to non‑specialist audiences. You will be responsible for consultation and engagement processes relating to tree management activities.
What do I need to have?
You will have a minimum Level 4 qualification in Arboriculture. You will make decisions regarding the risk management of trees informed by industry practices, QTRA and relevant British Standards. You will be familiar with commissioning and contracting works. If you do not hold a QTRA qualification, you must demonstrate a willingness to pursue training.
You will have excellent communication skills and be able to develop positive working relationships with stakeholders and colleagues, including maintaining good relationships with our tree contractors.
You will be motivated and able to work independently, planning and prioritising your work.
