Permanent, Part Time 29.75 hours working 8 a.m. – 12.30 p.m. & 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. split shifts. This post is also subject to an additional category 2 shift allowance of £3,686 per year.
Permanent, Part Time 21 hours working 8.am – 2pm.
Permanent, Part Time working 35 hours between 8.am – 2.pm & 5pm – 9pm. split shifts. This post is also subject to an additional category 2 shift allowance of £3,686 per year pro rata.
All Above Posts Follow a 7-day Fortnight Work Pattern:
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday
Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday
NB: Working one weekend in two.
Help people regain daily living activities so they can get closer to the life they want to live.
What will I be doing?
Providing Reablement support to people in their homes or community settings, you will help them become more independent. You will help with the daily living activities detailed in their individual plan, for example support with personal care and meal preparation. Committed to supporting people’s wellbeing, you’ll help them focus on important issues such as good nutrition, home safety and energy efficiency. You will also support, and where required, administer medication as appropriate.
Working flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, you will be there for vulnerable people at a time in their life when professional care and support can make a huge difference.
What do I need to have?
You will need either a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Care or equivalent qualification, or willingness to undertake this training. You will definitely need good literacy and numeracy skills, equivalent to GCSE grade C/grade 4 or above. We expect you to be able to interpret and follow information on a variety of health and care documentation.
You must be a self-reliant individual who can work effectively as part of a team and without direct supervision. An awareness of safeguarding and the ability to cope with emergencies is important too. Crucially, you will bring a sensitive and flexible approach to this role. You respect individual’s rights, choices, privacy, and dignity, and you are passionate about working in a way that maximises their independence.
Please note: a valid driving licence, access to a motorised vehicle, and willingness to obtain relevant insurance are vital. Be aware that Bristol is subject to Clean Air Zone regulations, which means that older and more polluting vehicles may be charged for travelling into the city.
