Project Engineer β Planned Maintenance (Fire Safety) Full Time, Fixed Term β 18 months, 37 hours per week. Working days Monday to Friday 8:00-16:00.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver fire safety works generated from external fire risk assessments within social housing.
- Manage and monitor multiple contracts for fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, door entry, warden call systems, fire doors, compartmentation and communal electrical testing & rewires.
- Ensure high standards, best value for money, and compliance with health & safety, CDM regulations, and the golden thread of information.
- Write specifications, contract documents and necessary reports in collaboration with local authority procurement and legal teams.
- Manage budgets and present accurate data to line management.
- Build strong working relationships with contractors and internal workforce.
Required Qualifications And Experience
- Recognised engineering qualification at Degree or HNC level in Construction / Electrical / Fire Safety engineering or building services.
- Current membership of a professional body.
- Experience in contract procurement, contract management and health & safety compliance.
- Level 4 qualification in a related engineering field is recommended.
