Please note, we are NOT offering sponsorship for this position. We are currently looking for a Day Carer at Beech House in Thornbury on a fixed term contract covering maternity leave. Bristol Care Homes is a group of four nursing homes in Bristol and South Gloucestershire. Responsibilities and duties for the Day Carer role are:
- Delivering high quality personal care to our residents
- Ensuring that every individual within the home has a personalised and meaningful experience of life
- Participating in nursing procedures to assist our nursing staff
- Maintaining the dignity and privacy of residents and respecting their individual needs
- Assisting with serving meals and drinks
- Assisting with other tasks as requested to ensure the smooth running of the home
- Attending and participation in orientation, mandatory and other training as required
Requirements for the Day Carer role:
- We are looking for experienced Care Assistants as well as motivated and enthusiastic individuals looking to start a career in care
- We offer NVQ Health and Social Care level 2 training for other care staff
- Although we will consider applicants without qualifications or experience, the following would be an advantage:
- Experience of working with the elderly, preferably in a care home environment
- Level 2 qualification in health and social care or equivalent
HOURS: ~36 to 42 hours per week ~8am to 8pm
PAY: As an employee (21 years +) new to care, working alternate weekends, you can expect a starting rate of £12.70 per hour ~10% additional pay at weekends
