Job description
Quarry House Care Home in Fishponds has a vacancy for a full-time Maintenance Person.
The role is for 40 hours per week, with being available for occasional call-outs to emergencies on a rotational basis.

This role includes:

  • Maintaining the grounds surrounding the buildings, including bins and refuse.
  • Ensuring all repairs are completed safely and to a high standard.
  • Ensuring emergencies are responded to promptly
  • Maintaining a pro-active approach to prevent problems from reoccurring.
  • Ensuring equipment is stored and maintained appropriately.
  • Reactive maintenance
  • Weekly safety checks
  • Fire Checks and Staff training

The ideal candidate may have some or all of the following:

  • Previous experience of Maintenance work,
  • Previous experience of gardening work,
  • Experience working within a residential setting,
  • Understanding of Health & Safety legislation,

Hours

  • 35 per week - either 8am to 3pm or 9am to 4pm
