We are currently looking for a Chef's Assistant at Quarry House in Fishponds. Bristol Care Homes is a group of four nursing homes in Bristol and South Gloucestershire. Responsibilities and duties for the Chef's Assistant role are:
- Prepare and serve meals to residents and staff according to pre-set menus
- Order stock, ensuring availability of ingredients and receiving stock
- Manage food storage according to EH regulations
- Stock rotation and wastage control
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness and infection control
Requirements for the Chef's Assistant role:
- Current food hygiene certificate would be useful but training will be given
- Experience of cooking in a care home or similar environment would be ideal but not essential
- Good spoken and written English
Pay: As an employee (Age 21 years +) you will earn:
Salary: From £13.45
10% increase on any weekend hours worked
50% extra pay on Bank Holidays
