We are currently looking for a part time Activities & well-being team member at Beech House in Thornbury.

- Responsibilities and duties for the Activities & well-being team member role are:
- Ensuring entertainment is organized on a weekly or fortnightly basis.
- Enabling access to therapies for Residents on a regular basis.
- Liaising with the Resident and the Care Team about activities that Residents can participate in.
- Conducting meetings with Residents and / or their relatives, friends and carers about individual Resident's interests and hobbies, especially regarding those who may not be able to express themselves.
- Consulting with Residents about interests and preferences for outings, entertainment, and social events.
- Organising and co-ordinating celebrations
- Arranging for outside entertainers to visit the home
- Maintaining our activities equipment
Requirements for the Activities & well-being team member role
- Enthusiastic, organised and creative individuals to work as a member of our friendly team delivering high standards of activities to our residents.
- Good basic IT skills: outlook, word, excel
- Previous experience in the role would be an advantage
- Experience of working with the elderly, preferably in a care home environment
Although we will consider applicants without qualifications, the following would be an advantage:
- Level 2 qualification in health and social care or equivalent.
- PAY
- As an employee (21 years +) £13.45 per hour
- 10% enhancement at weekends
- 50% extra pay on Bank Holidays
Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
