It’s an incredibly exciting time for Bristol Airport, and we are looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer to join us on this exciting journey.
The Lead Electrical Engineer will support the sustainable development of the Airport’s technical infrastructure through developing and managing electrical systems and standards, quality assuring engineering and development projects, ensuring compliance with installation and maintenance standards. They’ll develop, own and implement the Airport’s electrical services strategy, reducing the need for external consultancy support.
This role would suit an experienced Electrical Engineer who is qualified to a degree level in Engineering and is either chartered or working towards their chartership. They’ll have demonstrable experience with High Voltage Electrical Installations and exceptional communications skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:- Contribute, support and review technical electrical submissions across multiple projects ensuring electrical elements of designs are fit for purpose, comply with current standards and have considered long term operating costs and maintenance.
- Lead and develop a team of Electrical SME's and apprentices, coaching, mentoring, empowering and performance managing, creating a culture of accountability, engagement and high performance.
- Provide technical expertise for electrical disciplines in ongoing and future development and asset replacement projects. This includes HV/LV distribution systems, Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS), baggage handling systems, lighting and emergency lighting, lifts.
