We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and competent Learning Support Assistant who will work well as part of a team who truly want the best from our students. If you enjoy working with young people and would like to help them prepare for their future working lives we would like to hear from you.

Due to our increasing PAN and student numbers, we are excited to offer the opportunity to join our academy as our staff body continues to grow and support our larger year groups of 220 students. This is an exciting time to join our academy as we celebrate our Outstanding Academy Inspection in November 2023. Inspectors stated that Bristnall Hall Academy is a “truly inclusive and harmonious school” and that “everyone is proud to be part of a close-knit school community that is working together with a common purpose.” Our staff “feel valued” and our classrooms “ooze enthusiasm and productivity.”

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and forward-thinking individual, with a real drive to enhance students’ experience of secondary education. The ideal candidate will be an ambitious professional with the ability to provide support to students with special needs within the care of the Teaching Assistant to enable them to gain maximum benefit from the curriculum, integrate with other students and adjust to and cope with the day-to-day experiences of life in a secondary academy.

The successful candidate will join an academy which is dynamic and inspiring, creating a culture of outstanding success amongst our students. As a key member of the team, you will work with children to assist with the development of communication, reading and writing skills, basic educational skills and general curriculum activities as directed by the teacher or SENDCO. We are keen to secure a high calibre professional who can make a telling contribution to our team. The department is part of a well-led, mutually supportive Learning Support team; there is a very strong commitment to improving standards. The appointed candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues and will be supported by a strong SLT.
