About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated Internal Communications and Event Planning Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating engaging content and planning memorable employee events while providing occasional HR administrative support. Your mission will be to bring our values, people, and purpose to life every day, supporting a culture of inclusivity and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Internal Communications:
- Lead and produce the “PlumbedIn” monthly newsletter in both digital and print formats.
- Deliver weekly news emails, CEO updates, and internal campaign content.
- Maintain and enhance the company intranet, ensuring the content is engaging and accessible.
- Develop content for DEI campaigns (e.g., Black History Month, International Men’s Day).
- Create internal communication materials, including posters, videos, and scripts, in line with brand guidelines.
- Assist leadership with messaging and presentation materials for key announcements and events.
- Collaborate with Brand and Customer Communications teams to ensure consistency in messaging and tone.
- Bring internal initiatives to life through storytelling campaigns, like Story Walls and Employee "Shoutouts", and create end-of-year wrap-up videos.
- Event Planning:
- Plan and execute internal events, including Leadership Conferences and company-wide seasonal and cultural events (e.g., Pride, Mental Health Awareness, International Women’s Day).
- Manage venue, speaker, and supplier coordination, including budgeting and logistics.
- Organise smaller-scale team offsites and internal engagement activities.
- Oversee the book club and encourage inclusive activities across teams.
- Admin Support:
- Help with HR administrative tasks as needed.
Person Specification:
- Proven experience in internal communications.
- Exceptional copywriting, editing, and storytelling abilities.
- Confident in planning and executing events with strong organisational skills.
- Comfortable working collaboratively across departments and managing multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
