About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and professional HGV Class 1 Day Driver to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver who takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.
Our primary objective is to supply our customers with steel products using our own transport fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles in accordance with all road traffic legislation and company procedures.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
- Deliver and collect goods accurately and on time.
- Ensure loads are secured correctly and transported safely.
- Complete all delivery paperwork and digital records accurately.
- Maintain excellent communication with the transport office.
- Comply with drivers' hours, Working Time Directive, and tachograph regulations.
- Keep vehicles clean, tidy, and roadworthy.
What We're Looking For
- Full UK HGV Class 1 licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Valid Felixstowe Port RHIDES card
- Flatbed and Sheeting experience
- Experience with curtain sider and slider trailers
- A positive attitude with excellent time management skills.
