The predicted salary is between 36 - 45 £ per hour.

Join us at the Homeless Health Service and work with our dynamic team. We need a GP to work at our main site offering holistic and psychologically informed primary care to the homeless population of Bristol. We are committed to a high level of empathetic care, as well as effective clinical management, aiming to reduce the harm caused by homelessness and addictions including both physical and mental health problems.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide exemplary and holistic care for patients who are homeless or vulnerably housed.
  • Join a small team of experienced GPs providing assessments and interventions to individuals in a variety of non-traditional settings.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider clinical team, to support individual patients and the delivery of the right care, first time.

Qualifications and Training

  • Fully qualified GP with GMC registration and inclusion on the performers list.
  • Training in addiction medicine, mental health, or inclusion health.
  • GP trainer, Clinical Supervision or Mentoring certificate.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience working with people experiencing homelessness, substance use, or severe mental illness.
  • Commitment to delivering healthcare to socially excluded or vulnerable populations.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and risk management.
  • Knowledge of current clinical guidelines and evidence-based practice.
  • Ongoing commitment to personal development.
  • Evidence of computer literacy and keyboard skills.
  • Experience working in outreach settings.
  • Experience of working in teams and able to promote a team spirit.
  • Familiarity with EMIS.
