Join our Quality Assurance team and play a key part in supporting quality and food safety across our production site. This is a hands-on opportunity to develop your technical skills, lead meaningful projects, and gain real experience within a fast-moving food manufacturing environment.
You will work closely with the Quality Assurance Manager, the wider QA team, Production Operatives and PQATs, contributing to a variety of activities that ensure our products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and consistency. Projects will evolve throughout your internship, offering ongoing opportunities to learn and grow.
Hours: Full Time Mon-Fri 08:30-17:30, although business needs may require flexibility.
Starting Salary: Between £27.5k-£29k dependent on the skills and attitude you can bring.
Benefits: Performance-based team bonus / Company Pension Plan (with 7% company investment) / Company Sick Pay / Life Assurance.
Contract Type: Fixed term.

What You’ll Do:
- Support the QA team with food safety, documentation, and compliance tasks.
- Create and implement new cleaning procedures and update cleaning plans.
- Lead your own on-site project to support production lines.
- Monitor activities, report deviations, and help drive corrective actions.
- Assist in rolling out new digital tools with the IT team.
- Collaborate with production teams, other departments, and multiple sites.
- Help implement a new raw material information portal.
- Maintain high standards of confidentiality, hygiene, and food safety.
What We’re Looking For:
- Essential:
- Degree (or equivalent) in Food Science or a related field.
- Confident with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.
- Creative problem solver with an interest in product development.
- Detail-oriented, motivated, and able to work with discretion.
- Experience in an FMCG environment.
This role offers the chance to gain broad experience across Quality Assurance while contributing to real improvements on our production site.
