Make a difference and open doors to a career in a fun, vibrant industry as a Leisure Attendant. Brio Leisure centres are community fitness hubs where anyone and everyone can get active, whether it’s in the gym, swimming pool, a fitness class or playing racquet sports. Leisure Attendants are the friendly faces in yellow and red that you see around the building, and we’re looking for new people to join the team and help keep the centres running smoothly.

As a Leisure Attendant, you’ll be supervising our customers in the swimming pool and all other areas of the centre, ensuring their safety and using your lifesaving skills to rescue swimmers in difficulty. Away from the pool, you’ll be setting up and taking down sports equipment as required for events. You’ll also be answering customer queries and directing them around the building, so a friendly nature and good communication skills are important. This is a fun role that would suit an energetic person, as you’ll be working with the public throughout the day. It’s a perfect fit for any lifestyle too, whether you’re earning some extra cash while studying, or looking for a productive way to spend your time during retirement.

To be a Leisure Attendant, you’ll ideally need:

  • A current NPLQ.
  • Experience of working with children and vulnerable persons.
  • A positive outlook and excellent customer service skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work within a rota.

Rewards and benefits:

  • Free Brio Leisure gym membership allowing you to use our gym, fitness and swim facilities.
  • Explore exclusive discounts through the 'Brio Staff Shop' benefits platform, spanning a variety of retail shops, travel, cinema tickets, and more.
  • Free uniform & DBS check (if required).
  • Reimbursement for car mileage at 0.45p per mile and bicycle mileage at 0.20p per mile.
  • Benefit from enhanced maternity and paternity leave.
  • Favourable pension scheme.
