Daily Rate: £600 - £700 per day
We are working with a Healthtech Company in the UK to find an experienced AI Architect / Technical Lead to define and drive the technical vision, architecture, and delivery of enterprise-grade AI and software systems. This is a hands-on senior role requiring deep expertise in Python (Django, FastAPI), modern frontend technologies (React), and practical experience delivering AI/ML and agent-based solutions.
You will be responsible for leading projects end-to-end, from early-stage solution design through to architecture and delivery, while managing and mentoring high-performing engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance systems across backend, frontend, and cloud environments
- Lead and mentor cross-functional engineering teams (backend, frontend, QA, DevOps)
- Drive the design and delivery of AI/ML and LLM-based solutions, including agentic workflows
- Support pre-sales activities such as solution design, estimation, and technical presentations
- Develop backend services using Python frameworks such as Django, DRF, and FastAPI
- Guide frontend architecture using React and modern JavaScript frameworks
- Ensure best practices in system design, code quality, and security
- Oversee multiple projects, ensuring successful delivery within timelines and quality standards
- Implement DevOps best practices including CI/CD, monitoring, and automation
- Identify risks and performance bottlenecks, and propose scalable solutions
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering
- 3–5 years in architecture, technical leadership, or engineering management roles
- Strong expertise in Python and frameworks such as Django, DRF, and FastAPI
- Experience working with AI/ML systems, LLMs, or agent-based architectures
- Proficiency in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
- Solid understanding of system design, microservices, APIs, and distributed systems
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Strong communication skills and experience engaging with stakeholders
