Delivery Manager (Agile) – NHS Experience Required
Location: Leeds (1 day per month on-site)
Overview
We are looking for an experienced Delivery Manager to support a high-impact programme within the NHS. This role will focus on driving Agile delivery across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring successful outcomes in a complex, regulated healthcare environment.
You will play a key role in aligning stakeholders, removing delivery blockers, and embedding best practice Agile ways of working across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery across one or more Agile teams within an NHS programme
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and showcases
- Act as the primary point of coordination between technical teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership
- Identify and remove blockers to ensure smooth and consistent delivery
- Track progress against milestones, managing risks, issues, and dependencies
- Drive continuous improvement in Agile processes and team performance
- Support effective stakeholder communication, including reporting and governance
- Ensure delivery aligns with NHS standards, compliance, and governance frameworks
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Delivery Manager in Agile environments
- Strong background working with the NHS or wider healthcare sector
- Demonstrable experience delivering digital or transformation programmes
- Excellent stakeholder management skills across technical and non‑technical audiences
- Experience managing risks, dependencies, and delivery timelines in complex environments
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban
- Strong communication and facilitation skills
- Experience working with NHS Digital, ICSSs, or central government bodies
- Knowledge of GDS standards or public sector delivery frameworks
