Are you an experienced Business Analyst with a passion for improving public health services through technology? We are looking for a skilled Agile BA with proven expertise in medical imaging systems such as PACS and RIS, alongside solid knowledge of HL7 and FHIR standards, to join a leading digital transformation programme within the UK public health sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the liaison between clinical stakeholders, technical teams, and suppliers to gather, refine, and manage requirements across imaging workflows.
- Analyse and document business processes related to Radiology and Imaging, identifying areas for digital optimisation.
- Work closely within Agile multi-disciplinary teams (Scrum/Kanban), supporting user story creation, backlog refinement, and sprint planning.
- Contribute to the implementation and integration of imaging systems (PACS/RIS) and ensure compliance with HL7/FHIR interoperability standards.
- Collaborate with clinicians, radiologists, informatics teams, and third-party vendors to ensure successful system alignment and user adoption.
- Support UAT, clinical validation, and transition into live service, ensuring solutions are safe, effective, and fit-for-purpose in a healthcare setting.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong background as a Business Analyst in Agile environments (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban).
- Proven experience working with PACS, RIS, or related medical imaging platforms.
- In-depth understanding of HL7, FHIR, and healthcare interoperability standards.
- Experience working on projects within public health, the NHS, or similar healthcare organisations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills – confident liaising with both clinical and technical users.
- Ability to translate complex clinical requirements into actionable, user-centred digital solutions.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of DICOM, IHE, or other imaging-specific standards.
- Experience working with EPR, LIMS, or other clinical systems.
- Familiarity with GDS (Government Digital Service) principles and service standards.
- Business analysis certifications (e.g., BCS, IIBA) or Agile qualifications (e.g., Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist).
