An experienced Service Designer is needed for a high-visibility national NHS programme. You will lead service design across complex, multi-stakeholder workstreams, shaping services used by patients and clinicians across England. GDS and NHS experience are essential requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead service design activity from discovery through to live across one or more workstreams
  • Plan and facilitate workshops, co-design sessions, and stakeholder alignment activities
  • Produce journey maps, service blueprints, and experience maps to a high standard
  • Work closely with user researchers to keep design decisions evidence-led
  • Contribute to alpha and beta phases and support GDS service assessments
  • Present design work clearly to senior clinical and operational stakeholders

Essential Requirements

  • Proven NHS or Government service design experience - non-negotiable
  • Deep knowledge of GDS standards and the service design lifecycle
  • End-to-end service design experience across multiple phases
  • Strong facilitation skills with mixed, senior stakeholder audiences
