Brindley Hyundai have an exciting opportunity for you to join the team at our busy West Bromwich showroom as a Vehicle Technician.

Job Summary

Pay: £32,500 per year + uncapped bonus

As a Vehicle Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the continued growth and success of the Hyundai brand within the local market. You will be responsible for carrying out inspections, servicing, repairs and diagnostic work to the highest possible standards, ensuring every customer vehicle is maintained safely, efficiently and professionally. The successful candidate must be capable of working efficiently within a busy and growing workshop, where maintaining outstanding standards, accuracy and productivity are essential. You will work closely with the wider aftersales team to ensure customer expectations are exceeded at every stage of the service and repair process. You will be expected to demonstrate strong technical ability, excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach to maintaining high workshop standards. The successful candidate must have demonstrated ability to work with clutches, gearboxes, engines, and electrical wiring diagrams.

Daily responsibilities will include:

  • Servicing, repairs, diagnostics, vehicle inspections
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with manufacturer guidelines and dealership procedures
  • Diagnosing vehicles accurately and repairing efficiently while maintaining the highest levels of safety and customer satisfaction

The ideal candidate will understand the importance of delivering a seamless aftersales experience that reflects the advanced technology, innovation, quality and customer‑focused approach that define the Hyundai brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out servicing and MOT tests
  • Carrying out detailed Vehicle Health Checks (VHCs)
  • Performing mechanical and electrical repairs on customer vehicles
  • Diagnosing faults using manufacturer diagnostic equipment
  • Carrying out servicing and maintenance work in line with manufacturer standards
  • Road testing vehicles to ensure they are safe and roadworthy
  • Completing manufacturer inspection check sheets accurately
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop environment
  • Supporting the wider aftersales team in delivering excellent customer satisfaction

About You

  • Must hold a Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance
  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician is essential
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical vehicle repair
  • Excellent attention to detail and high‑quality workmanship
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment
  • Ability to work with clutches, gearboxes, engines, and electrical wiring diagrams
  • Strong ability to manage your own workload and prioritise effectively
  • Confident using diagnostic equipment and workshop systems
  • Full UK driving licence required
  • Motivated, reliable and team‑focused attitude
