The Role
As a Field Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of forklifts and related equipment on-site at customer locations. This role offers a mix of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic work, making it ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on problem-solving in the field. You will also be responsible for communicating with customers in a professional manner whilst on location.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on forklifts and material handling equipment
- Conduct routine maintenance and servicing according to manufacturer guidelines
- Provide on-site technical support and advice to customers
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate records
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and to a high standard
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience working as a field service engineer in the forklift or materials handling sector
- CFTS qualified & Thorough Examination certified
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
- Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential
- Full UK driving licence
