Brindle & Green are a medium sized multidisciplinary environmental consultancy working nationwide on a variety of projects of varying complexity to support the planning process. Over the last decade, we have emerged as an industry leader and a prominent name in the multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy sector. With divisions in Ecology, Landscape, Arboriculture, Archaeology & Heritage, Ecological Contracting and Flood Risk & Drainage, we have opened a new office in the Milton Keynes area to support this growth.
We are seeking a CAD/GIS technician to support our growing business in the environmental consultancy sector based at either our Derby Head Office or new Milton Keynes Office. You will work alongside many of our technical teams to produce mapping and data to contribute to and enhance the company’s workflow.
We are seeking someone with the following set of skills:
- Translate and develop conceptual designs into CAD drawings, including GA’s, Planning drawings, Layout drawings, Setting out drawings, SLD’s, PFD and P&ID using AutoCAD/Revit & other relevant CAD software.
- Collaborate with Project teams to create, update & manage plan production in accordance with project requirements & industry standards.
- Utilise a data platform to ensure accurate data management, version control & efficient project collaboration.
- Work in the technical teams to provide both consultative design support and in some instances supporting the installation and construction phase of the project works.
- Support and assist in the development stage of a project taking responsibility for ensuring that conceptual design preparation documents are provided in accordance with required timescales and quality standards.
- Previous CAD & GIS experience.
- Experience with creating layout drawings.
- Proficiency in using AutoCAD is essential.
- Experience with Common Data Environments (e.g Viewpoint, BIM360/ACC or Projectwise).
- Strong communication skills & ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects & prioritise workload.
- Able to adapt to new technologies & software as required.
