Key Responsibilities

  • Support Senior Account Managers with key customer accounts, including meeting preparation, sales information, samples, product information and follow-up actions.
  • Manage and develop your own portfolio of speciality food customers.
  • Build warm and trusted customer relationships through regular phone, email and face-to-face contact.
  • Understand customers’ businesses and recommend relevant Brindisa products and categories.
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales, order frequency and product range.
  • Support customer presentations, tastings, range reviews, seasonal activity and new product launches.
  • Monitor account performance and follow up on declining sales, lapsed orders and potential growth opportunities.
  • Support new business activity, from researching and qualifying prospects through to presentations, onboarding and first orders.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales pipelines, forecasts and follow-up actions.
  • Work closely with Customer Experience, Buying, Supply Chain, Finance, Technical, Brand & Communication, Marketing and Warehouse teams to provide an excellent customer experience.
  • Develop your product, commercial and negotiation skills with support from experienced colleagues, progressing towards full Account Manager capability.

  • Experience in sales, account support, customer service, hospitality, food retail or another customer-facing commercial environment.
  • A natural ability to build positive relationships and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage different priorities.
  • A developing commercial mindset and an interest in understanding sales, margin and customer performance.
  • Confidence working with numbers and customer or sales information.
  • Clear, professional and engaging communication skills.
  • A proactive and positive approach, with the confidence to take ownership while knowing when to ask for support.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning CRM, ERP and sales reporting systems.
  • Collaborative, curious and keen to learn and develop.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer meetings, tastings and trade events.
  • Experience within food, hospitality, independent retail or speciality food would be an advantage.
