We are seeking a proactive and curious Policy & Research Analyst to join our Capital Markets & Wholesale division. This is a pivotal role providing high-level support across a diverse workstream, helping to develop and deliver strategic policy positions and operational projects for a broad array of international and wholesale financial institutions.
The successful candidate will help navigate the evolving regulatory landscape, supporting our members on critical themes ranging from primary and secondary markets to post-trade and cross-border policy. This is an ideal role for an individual with professional flexibility and a keen desire to build a career at the intersection of finance, law, and government affairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Research & Insight: Monitor and collate political and regulatory developments impacting capital markets; provide timely briefings and updates for stakeholders.
- Advocacy Support: Assist in drafting consultation responses, position papers, and thought leadership pieces for submission to key bodies such as HM Treasury and the FCA.
- Committee Management: Support the delivery and management of key member committees and working groups (e.g., Primary Markets and Corporate Finance).
- Stakeholder Engagement: Organise roundtables and events with industry experts, government officials, and think tanks to drive policy discussion.
- Regulatory Navigation: Assist members in navigating complex regimes, including the FCA Handbook, CMA merger controls, the PISCES regime, and the National Security and Investment Act.
- Collaboration: Work closely with legal counsel and internal policy teams to ensure legislative insights are integrated into the forward work programme.
