The Opportunity

We are seeking a Payments Policy Analyst to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a professional with up to two years of experience, working directly on policy issues shaping European and international payments, helping the UK maintain its position as a global leader in cross-border finance. Previous specialist payments experience is not required; we value potential, analytical capability, and curiosity.

What You’ll Do

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Support member working groups, committees, and international partner meetings.
  • Briefings: Prepare high-quality presentations, reports, and meeting papers for senior executives.
  • Project Support: Collaborate on strategic projects across the wider payments portfolio.

What We Are Looking For

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience: Up to 2 years of professional experience in policy, research, regulatory affairs, financial services, or consultancy.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to simplify complex topics.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong research capability to synthesise data into clear, structured insights.
  • Organisation: Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Tools: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
