We are looking for an experienced Network LAN/WAN Engineer to support the day-to-day engineering of our global network and wireless production environments. This is a global technical role requiring strong hands-on expertise, a high level of ownership, and the ability to operate in complex multinational environments. You will work closely with Real Estate teams, Service Delivery Programme teams, vendors, and managed service providers to ensure resilient, high-performing network services across office and enterprise environments.

Please note: This role requires relocation to Germany, and candidates must have German language skills at B2 level or above.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and engineer highly available and resilient network solutions across LAN, WAN, and wireless environments
  • Design, optimise, and maintain enterprise wireless networks, including signal optimisation and coverage design
  • Support office moves, renewals, and expansions in line with defined network standards
  • Assist Operations teams with root cause analysis and advanced troubleshooting activities
  • Partner with vendors on service life cycles, roadmaps, and hardware refresh strategies
  • Manage production hardware life cycle and vendor performance
  • Evaluate Managed Service Provider technical capabilities and resources
  • Track network availability and proactively eliminate repeat incidents
  • Drive continuous improvement across network performance, reliability, and service delivery
Technical Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience designing and supporting high-availability enterprise networks
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Aruba Wireless design, management, and standardisation
  • Experience working as part of a global network or infrastructure function
  • Wireless predictive survey experience using tools such as Airwave VisualRF (preferred), Ekahau, or AirMagnet
  • Experience designing and supporting high-density enterprise wireless office environments
  • Strong knowledge of routing protocols and tiered network design
  • Experience with SD-WAN (VeloCloud) and associated transport technologies
  • Deep understanding of 802.11 protocols, RF propagation, antenna technologies, multipath, spatial multiplexing, and diversity
  • Proven experience in RF optimisation, interference analysis, and coexistence troubleshooting
  • Experience supporting voice and collaboration tools over wireless networks, including Microsoft Teams

  • Ability to analyse business and technical requirements and deliver solutions through structured project delivery
  • Strong personal ownership, professional ethics, and commitment to continuous learning
  • Confident communicator able to present complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
  • German language proficiency at B2 level or above is mandatory
  • Strong troubleshooting leadership skills, including facilitating technical calls and influencing outcomes
  • Ability to produce high-quality documentation and enable knowledge transfer across teams
