Sustainability, Energy & Decarbonisation Solutions

Location: Flexible UK (Hybrid with customer travel)

Help shape the future of sustainable industry.

This is not another sales role.

You’ll be joining a market-leading organisation helping some of the UK’s largest and most recognisable organisations reduce energy costs, achieve ambitious carbon reduction targets and deliver major infrastructure projects that genuinely change how businesses operate.

Working across sectors including manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, automotive, higher education and defence, you’ll engage C-suite executives, estates leaders, operations teams and finance stakeholders to develop multi-million-pound sustainability programmes that deliver measurable commercial and environmental impact.

If you enjoy solving complex business challenges, influencing senior stakeholders and winning strategic, long-cycle opportunities, this could be the role you’ve been looking for.

The Opportunity

  • You’ll own and develop strategic customer relationships from initial engagement through to contract signature, selling complex consultancy and engineering solutions that often develop into significant capital projects.
  • Rather than selling a product, you’ll work with customers to understand their commercial objectives, identify opportunities to reduce operational costs and carbon emissions, and build compelling business cases that secure investment.
  • Sales cycles typically range between 9-12 months, requiring strong planning, stakeholder management and commercial resilience.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Winning new strategic enterprise customers across multiple industry sectors.
  • Building trusted relationships with senior decision makers.
  • Leading complex consultative sales engagements from first meeting through to negotiation and contract award.
  • Identifying opportunities for sustainability, decarbonisation and energy optimisation programmes.
  • Developing compelling commercial value propositions and ROI cases.
  • Working closely with technical specialists to translate engineering concepts into commercial outcomes.
  • Managing multiple stakeholders throughout lengthy buying journeys.
  • Maintaining accurate CRM forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Creating and executing proactive business development strategies through networking, referrals and targeted prospecting.

You’re first and foremost an exceptional salesperson.

You understand how to navigate complex organisations, build executive relationships and create opportunities where others don’t.

You’ll likely bring experience selling complex B2B solutions such as:

  • Energy & Utilities
  • Building Technologies
  • FM & Technical Services
  • Infrastructure
  • Software / SaaS into enterprise organisations
  • Professional or Consultancy Services
  • Capital Equipment
  • Large Outsourcing Solutions

You’ll also demonstrate:

  • A consistent track record of exceeding new business targets.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Confidence engaging C-suite stakeholders.
  • The ability to simplify technical information into clear business value.
  • Strong organisation and pipeline discipline.
  • High levels of self-motivation and accountability.

Success Looks Like

Within your first 12 months you’ll be expected to:

  • Build a strong pipeline of strategic opportunities.
  • Progress customers through complex buying journeys.
  • Convert opportunities into significant long-term projects.
  • Become recognised as a trusted adviser within your customer base.

Why Join?

  • You’ll join a highly respected business operating at the forefront of sustainability and energy transformation.
  • You’ll have the opportunity to work with globally recognised organisations, supported by experienced technical experts whilst enjoying genuine autonomy to develop your market.
  • The organisation is investing heavily in future growth, creating excellent opportunities for progression into leadership and strategic commercial roles.
