This role is being advertised by Brightwork who are recruiting for our client in the East Lothian Area who require temporary HGV Driver / Loaders for their Waste and Recycling site.
Your Time at Work
- Working hours are Monday to Thursday and Friday, however flexibility is required to start earlier or finish later.
- As an HGV Driver / Loader you will be responsible for the collection and sorting of waste and recyclable materials across East Lothian.
- You will work as part of a crew collecting a range of waste and recycling.
- This role also includes supporting depot operations such as cleaning vehicles and workspaces.
- Working with a team following pre-planned routes to collect from sites including loading and unloading your vehicle.
- Completing the relevant paperwork on collections required.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading whilst adhering to all safety protocols.
- Adhering to all H&S and Waste Management regulations.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving.

- Able to carry out manual tasks.
- Knowledge of the East Lothian area would be advantageous.
- Ability to follow instructions and use initiative.
- Experience in waste management would be desirable.
- Flexible regarding working core and additional hours.
- Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent).
- HGV driving experience required.
- Up to date CPC hours.
