Electrical Shift Engineer

Belfast

Shift Pattern: 2 Days, 2 Nights, 4 Days Off

Overtime: Paid at 1.3x rate and regularly available

The Role

We are recruiting an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to join a busy manufacturing facility in Belfast. You'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing automated production equipment, minimising downtime, and ensuring machinery operates safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults on automated machinery.
  • Support PLC fault-finding and troubleshooting activities.
  • Maintain packaging, bottling and labelling equipment.
  • Work with motors, drives, sensors, relays and control systems.
  • Complete maintenance records using SAP/CMMS.
  • Support continuous improvement and reliability projects.
  • Ensure all work is completed to GMP, food safety and health & safety standards.

Requirements

  • Time-served Electrical Engineer or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong electrical fault-finding experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • PLC troubleshooting experience.
  • Knowledge of motors, drives, pneumatics and industrial automation.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Experience within FMCG, food, beverage, packaging or manufacturing environments is desirable.
