Workshop Electrician to join the Service & Repair team in Dumbarton.
This role is focused on the maintenance, servicing, fault finding, and repair of power generation equipment, ensuring assets are maintained to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance.
You'll play a key role in supporting customers across a range of industries by ensuring generators, electrical systems, and associated equipment are ready for deployment and operating efficiently.
The Role
As a Workshop Electrician, you will be responsible for
- Diagnosing, fault finding, and repairing a wide range of generators, from portable units through to large containerised systems.
- Carrying out load testing and commissioning activities on generators ranging from 20k VA to 2000k VA, ensuring equipment performs to specification.
- Stripping, rewiring, and modifying electrical control panels and control modules, including component replacement and schematic updates.
- Inspecting, testing, and repairing high-voltage transformers and HV cable installations in accordance with safe isolation procedures.
