We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Stock Controller to work for our Drinks Industry Client, an independent distiller and blender of some of the finest and rarest whiskies in the world. The role will be based at their Glen Catrine bonded warehouse and bottling facility in Ayrshire. Their aim is to ensure customers receive their orders on time and in full every time, producing the safest, highest quality in the most cost-effective manner.

Hours of work: Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 4.30pm & Friday 7.30am - 12.30pm. Flexibility may be required.

Your Time at Work Responsibilities to include:

  • Checking all stock picked for despatch to customers
  • Highlight differences between pick vs order
  • Maintain paperwork to a very high standard
  • Timely and accurate receipt of all deliveries onto WMS and Basecone, reporting any discrepancies to Dry Goods Manager
  • Updating stock information on WMS for held stock and material requests as required
  • Supporting goods in process by booking in stock to systems
  • Maintaining accurate reports
  • Direct responsibility for delivering & maintaining dry goods stock
  • Developing & implementing daily, weekly and monthly checks to deliver the KPI set by dry goods manager
  • This role is key to control goods in, goods out and maintaining a rolling stock check program, having 1 full stock check per year
  • Key role from a compliance & cost perspective for the business and department and will require a real owner of the process
