Role : Senior Business Analyst

Location : Glasgow (Hybrid)

Length : 6-month contract

Daily rate: £400 – £450 (Outside IR35)

Organisation

We are seeking a Business Analyst to support a key Application Development project, for a dynamic Digital Consultancy client.

The ideal candidate will have experience in both technical business analysis as well as exceptional stakeholder management across all levels. Translating complex requirements into communications for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Work with stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritise business and technical requirements.

Use the MoSCoW prioritisation method to define Must-Have, Should-Have, Could-Have, and Won't-Have features.

Develop use cases, process flows, and user stories to support system design and development.

Collaborate with development teams to ensure requirements are well understood and feasible.

Conduct gap analysis to identify areas for system improvements or new functionality.

Support testing and validation by defining acceptance criteria and assisting with UAT.

Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.

Facilitate stakeholder workshops, meetings, and requirement-gathering sessions.

Skillset

Application Development project experience.

Extensive, large scale, Digital Transformation project delivery (end-to-end).

Consultancy experience would be considered an advantage.

Strong understanding of MoSCoW prioritisation and experience applying it in real-world projects.

Experience writing use cases, process models, and functional specifications.

Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Proficiency in business analysis tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or BPMN tools.
