Brightwork's client is currently recruiting a Reactive Engineer who will be responsible for maintaining and improving a wide variety of plant machinery with a focus on reactive and planned preventive maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform reactive maintenance to ensure machinery operates at optimal performance levels.
- Overhaul, adapt, and carry out improvements on existing machinery.
- Mechanically biased role with some electrical work involved.
- Replace bearings, inspect compressors, and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Maintain and repair equipment including conveyors, pipework, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding tasks.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities within the plant and suggest new methods and procedures.
- Complete all documentation to a high standard.
- Carry out basic facility and site service maintenance as needed.
Qualifications
- Mechanical bias with Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
- Mechanical experience, preferably in hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and general plant machinery.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
- A flexible, team-oriented attitude with the ability to adapt to different tasks and shifts as required.
- Knowledge in continuous improvement and new working methods.
