Brightwork is recruiting experienced Groundworkers, Plant Operators, and Drivers to join our client's civil engineering teams across the Highlands. Our client is proud to be based in the Highlands and is committed to supporting local projects and communities.

The successful candidates will undertake a variety of groundwork activities, including:

  • Drainage installation
  • Concreting
  • Kerbing
  • Excavation
  • Foundation works

Applicants must hold a valid CSCS Card and have previous experience working on civil engineering or construction sites. Plant operator tickets and utility experience would be advantageous; however, for candidates who demonstrate the right attitude and willingness to learn, our client is committed to providing training and development opportunities, including additional tickets and licences.

Your Time at Work:

  • Excavating and preparing sites for construction projects
  • Laying foundations, concrete bases, kerbs, and drainage systems
  • Installing underground utilities, including water, drainage, and ducting
  • Operating hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Assisting with concreting, paving, and surfacing works
  • Reading and interpreting site drawings and specifications
  • Carrying out trenching, backfilling, and reinstatement works
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and site procedures
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
  • Working collaboratively with site teams and subcontractors

Our Perfect Worker:

  • Previous experience as a Groundworker within the civil engineering sector
  • Good understanding of drainage, foundations, and external works
  • Ability to work from drawings and site instructions
  • Valid CSCS Card
  • Strong awareness of health and safety procedures and best practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK Driving Licence (preferred)
